Nyerere National Park ( former Selous Game Reserve )

Nyerere National Park, formerly part of the vast Selous Game Reserve, is one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife areas and Tanzania’s newest national park. Spanning over 30,000 square kilometers, it was established in 2019 and named after Julius Nyerere, Tanzania’s founding father. The park lies in the southeastern part of the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
